This was dropped in the C-Box a couple of hours ago. So thanks to the one who dropped it!
The Rockabones is a four piece band from Hannover, Germany. First Takes is the first demo by this band and it contains four tracks of high octane Riffrock with Stoner, Metal, Punk and Rock 'n' Roll influences.
These guys make quite a start with this demo. The sound is pretty good for a demo and the songs are really ass kicking. The vocals fit perfect with this straight forward Rock music. No further words are necessary here, go listen and... Enjoy!
In the summer of 2009 The Rockabones joined to realise their conception of rock music.
Informed by bands like AC/DC, Motörhead and Black Sabbath, they play Riffrock blended with Metal, Classic Rock, Punk and Stoner - loud, heavy & dirty!
The first Demo-EP 'First Takes' was finished in June 2011: 4 Tracks, 18 minutes - Straight Out Heavy Rock!
From the German region Nordrhein-Westfalen comes Mojo Jazz Mob. This five-piece band plays some awesome old school Stoner Rock. Their EP called Westfalenwalze is a nice piece of work. It contains five impressive songs and they're catchy as well. This band has it all! There are great vocals, excellent guitar riffs and a pleasantly grooving bass and drums. Their sound does also behold a little pinch of Psychedelics, but for the most part it is more straight forward Hard Rocking Stoner. A very good EP! Enjoy!
Oh man, the Mojo Jazz Mob take me wayyyyyyy back to 2000 when I was writing as a staffer for what was then Ultimate Metal.com. I had taken the liberty of changing someone else’s website to cover mostly Stoner Rock and Doom and then got fired for it… something I didn’t understand at the time, but now can fully appreciate the owner’s disdain for my freelancein’ ways. Mojo Jazz Mob had sent me their 2000 demo, which featured the powerhouse tunes “A.R.E. you A.I.R.?” and “Plasma Junge”. That ended up being the last review I would write for that particular zine.
It’s amazing to see these guys still around 10 years later, and it looks like they’ve been busy too with quite a discography. Nice to see my initial words didn’t torpedo any otherwise promising career.
The MJM are a German-based five piece heavy rock band, whose roots heavily tap into the burgeoning Stoner Rock movement of the late 90’s and early ‘00’s. They still have the Stoner Rock influence… at least one or two references to marijuana and a remarkably powerful guitar sound that is akin to a wind turbine in a hurricane. The songs have evolved, however, into these magnificent stripped-down powerhouses of melody, hooks and catchy choruses while still retaining the experimental charm of early ‘00’s Euro Stoner Rock. Out of the five songs, there isn’t a loser riff in any of ‘em. My favorite, “Samba”, features a cool, stoney, percussion driven mid-section between the riffs of howling melody. The riff on opener “Rapid Cycler” could reckon it’s own fault zone, and the twin guitar harmony n’ riff that opens “Chemical Pilot” is a nice take on the Dickinson/Smith school of songwriting, as applied to Stoner Rock.
Westfalenwalze is sonic ear candy. It’s heavy, it’s catchy, it’s creative and damn good. The Mojo Jazz Mob have successfully made the transition from “just another German Stoner Rock band” to something with a broader base of appeal. Personally, this is a very nice change of pace to a set of ears used to hearing slowly churning, dire music of a doomed planet. It’s like putting on Rubber Soul after several uninterrupted listenings of Stream From The Heavens. Puts you in a nice place of finger-snappin’ and toe-tappin’ just when you need it.
If you like depressive and harsh music, then you must pay attention! Planks is a band from Germany and this trio plays a mix of Sludge, Black Metal, Crust and Hardcore. Their second album called The Darkest Of Grays is an awesome piece of work. It is an combination of utter anger and depressiveness. It is one of the best albums of it's kind. Everything is perfect on this album: the vocals, the music and the vibe. Immerse yourself in this misery and anger! Enjoy!
"The Darkest Of Grays" is PLANKS second full-length output and the first for their new label Per Koro. It features 12 songs that are pretty much different from their first self-titled record. Yet it is totally PLANKS. The band focused more on the dynamic aspekt in their music instead of sheer brutality. The songs are all full of different nuances, tempi changes and have an undeniable sense of melody. Stylewise don't expect Pop Music here, even though there are clearly some structures of a classic ('80s dark-wave ) Pop Song to be found. If you feel the urge to describe the whole thing, you could imagine a blending of Breach's "kollapse" with Mastodon's "leviathan" mixed with Isis "oceanic" , "closer" by Joy Division and some classic Norwegian Black-Metal such as Dark Throne's "transilvanian Hunger". It all sounds rather unique and contemporary. If you enjoy bands such as the ones mentioned before as well acts such as Wolves In The Throne Room, Catharsis, Amen Ra and Damnation a.D. this record might be your cup of black coffee. "the darkest of grays" is a concept record in two parts. It covers the topic of the total downfall of humanity in a person due to emotional breakdown. The first part "Passages" deals with the breakaway of aspects in a person commonly described as human. The second part "Fatalities" describes the total descent into the abyss of solitude and desperation as a result of these passages. There are some really personal and depressing lyrics to be found here that add up perfectly to the music. If you enjoy capturing, dramatic but truly melancholic and dark music this one here is for you. (By XsenatorX at Collective Zine)
Stereoner is a Stoner Rock band from Wuppertal, Germany. This is their free download debut EP called Silverback. Stereoner is influenced by bands like Kyuss, Truckfighters, Lowrider and The Sword. This EP contains four decent Stoner tracks. Enjoy!
It was a freezing day in October 2008 when Basti, Ben and Julian met to jam out. They wanted to do some Hardcorepunk, but things didn't go well. There was neither flow nor feeling while playing. After a short break, some smokes and a few beers they cleared their minds and started to jam again without any stylistic boundaries... Suddenly some huge and powerful riffs cut the air and blew their minds!
That's when they realized that they were meant to play bad-ass Stoner Rock - and so they did...
While working on some material, it occurred to them that they need a second guitar. So Basti brought Flo on board and finally the rocket was ready to take off! They got overwhelmingly positive feedback, which was motivation enough for the guys to follow their path and rock on with their own interpretation of Stoner Rock.
Anger and serenity! These two emotions Stereoner unite within their music: THE Stoner Rockband from Wuppertal, Germany.Uncontrollable feelings like a Gorilla in the rain forest, screaming from his deepest throat full of rage and desperation about his haunts annihilation. Or shooting along the highway with hell for leather and still having two gears left while nodding one's head to the beat. In between unconditional fury and psychedelic floating, the Band moves as they and the crowd please.
With the 'Silverback EP', Stereoner presents their first record, forged self-made. With the addition of the necessary trash it sounds exactly as it should - and gives you a hint what energy this Band creates on stage. (From Planetfuzz)
This is a real nice birthday present I've got yesterday! Obskuria is a band with members from several countries. They play some very great Psychedelic music. On their first album Discovery Of Obskuria they played mostly covers in their own way. On the second album Burning Sea Of Green they play songs of their own, except for one cover: Black Magic by Slayer. Obskuria play this song in a very strange version, with the hypnotic singing of Murielle Stadelmann. I never heard a Slayer cover like this! Burning Sea Of Green contains 9 great songs and it goes from mellow to heavy! Obskuria has two singers who has diveded the songs. The last track is Burning Sea Of Green, a nearly 13 minute Psychedelic trip with Muriellle Stadelmann as your personal guide. Burning Sea Of Green is an album you don't want to miss. Enjoy!
"Obskuria is hungry for ultimate satisfaction; feat. members of La Ira De Dios and Dragonwyck, they're best described as burning-heavy-psychedelic tone poetry, the roots of those 'symphonic/orchestrated' poems go back to the early 19th century, when music was intended to inspire listeners and to consider images or moods, not to focus on following traditional patterns -- free form improvisation! All 9 songs, except a Slayer cover of 'Black Magic' (transformed into '60s garage-twist), were cut from instrumental one-take jams; no headphones and all performers incl. amps in one room to feel the unfiltered natural vibes of the magical float, to get inspired in marching to the eternal outer-space-plateau as ONE unit.. it's the culmination of violent but also floating rocksound with truly authentic hard-driven 70s fuzz/space guitar overkills and spheric Hammond Organ layers. Finally two fabulous guest singers (male/female) added super-catchy soulful, haunted and atmospheric vocals. The debut album Discovery Of Obskuria, got lots fabulous and creative reviews in 2008 for their mostly excessive long instrumental space-Kraut excursions -- NOW the 5 Obskurians speeded-up most of their studio-performance with the focus to get more steady hypnotic song orientated (die)-hard-rock-tunes; which ended after cutting them into 3,5 to 5 min format, except the 13 min title track, a multi-climax, which epically expresses thee 'farewell to the American dream ? drifting in the burning sea of green'! Obskuria is inspired by '70s Krautrock, Black Sabbath, Doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, Brainticket, Joe Meek, Spaghetti Western and Slayer. This second album by the intercontinental quintet (Peru, US & Germany) may be seen as a soundtrack-concept-album to express in each song a different scene with an 'abundant' variety of raw energetic beauty plus revolutionary spirit. On low volume it feels like an easy listening album, turning it up it could cause unexpected mind-expansions leading into addiction not many 'modern' rock albums have the potential to bring new outstanding listening dimensions to the true music maniacs and addicts. Obskuria does! 'A new decade of purely emotional, euphoric rock'n'roll has begun to take you back to those days when music still was music!'" (From Ear-rational.com)
From Wernigerode, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany comes Terraplane. This is an awesome Psychedelic Stoner Rock band. This band released one album unto now: Into The Unknown. This album was released in 2006 and it's great. Terraplane claims to be influenced by the following at their MySpace: Most of all Led Zeppelin, but also early Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Iron Butterfly, early Monster Magnet, Fu Manchu, Nebula, Cathedral, Kyuss, Acrimony, Big Bill Broonzy. So you have a slight idea of what you can expect on this album. I say it's an great album, but what do you think. Tell me your findings by leaving a comment. Enjoy!
Terraplane are a German quartet that play psychedelic stoner rock 'n roll. They've released several promos, a single and an EP since 2002, and "…Into the Unknown" is their full length released in 2006. The CD includes 7 tracks, some short and nicely compact songs and others lengthier excursions. And there's lots of variety so it's hard to pigeonhole these guys or lump them cleanly into any one genre.
After a short intro with voice sample narration the band launch into Orange Salvation, a classic Sabbath inspired stoner instrumental, with a great rock 'n roll groove and brief but killer guitar fills. Damn good for less than 3 minutes. "Once I Was You" and "Lower" are cool stoner psych vocal numbers that are like one part Sabbath to 3 parts Stooges. Very cool down 'n dirty heavy stoner psychedelia. "Moonflower Blues Pt. II" goes in a different direction, being an easy going melodic bluesy song that reminds me of Led Zeppelin's dreamier moments. A really nice ride that softens the listener up for the more classic stoner rocking style of the next track, "Mantra". But even when they're in traditional stoner territory you can tell that Terraplane are more rooted in 70's heavy rock than a lot of the more modern sludgy metallic stoner bands. Sure, "Mantra" has a throbbing bassline that rumbles in your chest, but it's that classic Sabbath vibe, and loaded with tasty guitar soloing… slow, simple, yet full of psychedelic passion and emotion.
"Black Mystery" is a short, pure blues acoustic song that throws a bit of a curve ball before blasting us with the album's 15+ minute epic title track. This track alone is worth the price of the album. Right out of the chute the band take off into psychedelic space, with bubbling and shimmering lysergic vibes, soloing trip guitar and sitar, heavy driving rhythms and ultra cosmic lyrics. It's a killer mixture of space rock fortified heavy psychedelia, trippy ragas and commanding stoner grooves. A supremely powerful track that jams hard in space, while allowing the composed song element to keep it on course. Fans of Zone Six, Liquid Visions and the like would flip over this.
In summary, I enjoyed the mixture of shit kicking rock 'n roll songs and longer jam tracks on Into the Unknown. The band is clearly strong with both, though the title track easily stands far and away above anything else on the album. I'd love to hear more from Terraplane. Another Colour Haze download link went i to oblivion, this time it's the first album Chopping Machine, originally posted here. Someone asked me to put it up again. So, here you go. Enjoy!
Buddha Sentenza is a Instrumental Kraut Rock band from Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
Mode 0909 is the debut EP of this band. Buddha Sentenza combines Space Rock with Psychedelics and they do that outstanding! The sound of this EP is awesome. Each instrument sounds great and it fits all together. I love this kind of Space Rock, it's experimental and atmospheric. So please Buddha Sentenza, record more music like this! Enjoy and support Buddha Sentenza! (Thanks to Tom from Buddha Sentenza for sending me this great EP!)
"After a seemingly random sonic collision over the city of Heidelberg in late 2008, the constellation of *Buddha Sentenza* began to form during the darkest hours of that cold and silent winter. Deep under the earth, in the hidden bowels of the Klonlabor tunnel complex, the searing strings and pounding drums condensed rapidly to form a nebulous cloud of loosely jammed, spaced-out, rocking riffs. Rotating freely around some of the most ancient soundscapes - from the astral end of the Pink Floyd to the depths of galaxies such as Black Sabbath - Buddha Sentenza has continued to expand, drawing energy from contemporary constellations as well. Thus, its elements follow the trail of early rock psychonauts and modern riffrockers alike, fusing droning riffs, screaming solos and cosmic harmonies into an instrumental sound experience that defies any strict genre boundaries. The result is a texture that combines the raw massiveness of rock with the infinite possibilities of outer space."
Thanks to the guys at Planetfuzz for publishing this damn fine EP! Smokin Engine' is a German Stoner Rock band as Stoner Rock should be: Fuzz guitars, Desert sound and a good singer. The only thing Smokin Engine' don't have is a bass player. But I don't miss one. This EP is a great example of good Stoner. Enjoy and give these guys some support!
Hailing from Dresden, Germany these 3 fuzz cats produce a style of rock that could fall into many genres! Think Grunge meets psychedelic raw garage. Fans of Fu Manchu, Electric Wizard and Orange Goblin should get a kick out of these guys. Although still young and fresh to the fuzz scene these guys though gigs and playing with many more bands will without doubt be someone to look out for in the future. Highly recommended! (Review at Planetfuzz)
Smokin' Engine - On The Roads Of Cosmos Five EP (2008)
Thanks to Thorsten from Burden for sending me this EP. Burden is a German Stoner/Sludge Metal band. I like this stuff, great riffs, raw vocals and a heavy sound. I see a great future for this band. Enjoy and support them!
The dilemma of 21st century hard rock and metal: Bands bug with synthetic soundscapes to dub their deficient riffs. Juvenile hypermetalbands piss off their audience with their plagiarism. Bands lose touch to the veritable expression and true feeling of Rock'n'Roll and dilute this once so wild and aggressive music with trivial and weepy material. When BURDEN was founded by Saint D. (g) an gundel (g.) there was no doubt that they did not want to be part of this so called rock scene. Instead of trying to work with too many alien influences, their focus was clearly set from the beginning: to lead good old Rock-Music back to its roots without loosing touch to the presence and future. There can only be one goal! To bring back the honest and pure feeling that once was associated with rock music and rank it first!
With Dave (DEADSPAWN, ex PURIFY) a drummer living for his ideals and Rock'n'Roll was found soon. The founding year has been exclusively spent rehearsing and creating songs since BURDEN has never been about snapshots at all. In the course of time and after lots and lots of self-critical songwriting some very intense and authentic tunes emerged. But how to create real smashers when there is no pressure on your guts? It took some time to find a suitable and tight bassist. Fortunately they met Johnny Clash after some months and his impressive skills were overwhelming. Save the best for last as the saying goes - in summer 2008 Thorsten was recruited to join and complete the BURDEN army. His vocals have shot the musical standard on another level. Thorstens powerful and variable way of singing shows the real face of burden – a face other bands would kill for!
BURDEN let their music do the talking. Their unique mixture of Southern Rock, Sludge and Metal is no acoustic binge drinking, it's an uncompromising sound for people who appreciate straightforward music. (From MySpace)
I posted the thirst three Electric Magic samplers by the German webzine Generated X at here. This is Volume 5. There are some nice bands on it, like The Machine, Toner Low, Radio Moscow. I guess you will like it. Click on the back cover for a readable tracklist.
Earlier before I posted the first two albums of Colour Haze. Periscope is the third release and in my opinion one of the best Colour Haze albums. My favourite songs are Antenna and Always Me. Freak Out!
This CD of the 1999 release shows Colourhaze in super spaced out trip noise mode. The amazing sonic sculptures take you on a trip of massive proportions. This an important part of the Colourhaze story. A must have for fans of Sun Dial, Kyuss, Can and Spacemen 3. Glorious!! (From Freakemporium.com)
First album by current line up of COLOUR HAZE. Superb tracks with long instrumental interludes, intricate drum work and acid guitars al'a JIMI HENDRIX. If you enjoyed their later albums, you need this as well !! (From Recordheaven.net)
Tonight I did some MySpace-walking and I found this band. Vengura from Trier, Germany plays some decent and solid Stoner Rock with some slight metal influences. The singer does sometimes sound like James Hetfield, but not in an annoying way. Go judge for yourself!
Rock? Metal? Stoner?
Who wants to be pigeon-holed? First, and foremost, VENGURA makes music. Music that grooves, pushes and makes your body move. To convince the world that "the small fine grains of rock" are more than fading dust is the necessity. Birkenfeld (Nahe), Rheinland-Pfalz, in the center of the heart of nowhere is ideal for spending free time in the rehearsal room. It is here where the songs arise, it is here where five individuals meet to merge for one aim ... to create the sound of VENGURA. Sergio, on bass drives the required pressure, the guitars of Martin and Attila rock the walls, pressed on by the surge of Peter on drums. This incredible sound is perfected with the voice of Peffi, who can only be compared to Hetfiled and Garcia. Experience the sound of VENGURA! Five new songs were recorded in October 2007 at the Siegburg studio to be release under the title "Small Fine Grains of Rock". (From Musiknachwuchs)
I got myself a USB recordplayer and this is my first attempt. It did take some time to manage, this is the result: A very nice split 7" from Gas Giant and Colour Haze. It's still available at Elektrohash.
The first two albums of Colour Haze are different then the other albums, some more Punk sounding. These albums are out of sale.
Born within the years 1968 1974 some of the musicians played much in bands before, some less, some lived on making music. Contemporary Record Store Section: Stonerrock Colour Haze are a modern Psychedelic (in the words sense) Heavy Rock Three Piece, in the tradition of classic Rock-Trios as Cream, The Jimi Hendrix Experience or Grand Funk Railroad. Founded somewhen in the last century, the current line-up consists since May 1999. Since then some records have been made and a lot of following was gained. Originating from Muenchen, Germany, the group did a lot of shows nationwide and in Belgium, Holland and Austria. Soon Colour Haze established themselves among the finest groups of Germanys underground scene and are said to be one of the most outstanding current Rock-Ensembles in Europe. (From Myspace)
For those familiar with the rest of Colour Haze's discography (which I'd assume anyone interested in this album is, since it's not very well known), Chopping Machine is noticeably seperate from their other albums. Rather than the soothing jam sessions of their later material, Chopping Machine is dark, brooding, and somewhat aggressive. The music channels influences along the lines of King Crimson, Black Sabbath, and Tool; even if the songs have more upbeat music, such as on "Why Don't You?", Stefan's menacing vocals enforce the dark atmosphere.
While I think it would have been interesting to hear how Colour Haze would sound if they were still more evil than happy, Chopping Machine is pretty weak compared to their later work. The production is a little hard to listen to and the songs show potential but generally drag on for far too long. An interesting listen if you're a fan of the band. (From Rateyourmusic.com)
Space Debris are a german band whose music will transport you back 30 years to the pioneering days of Krautrock and Progressive influenced Psychedelia. Lots of lengthy stretch out guitar jams and an old time organ sound that will make you swoon. Members: Tommy Gorny (guitar, sometimesvocals), Peter Brettel (Bass), Winnie Rimbach-Sator (keyboards) and Christian Jäger (drums). Influences range from Amon Düül and Can on the one hand to a psychedelicious take on the Santana, Allman Brothers, and early Deep Purple stylings. If you like early 70's styled jamming hard prog-psych you'll love this band. The band made since now 4 Vinyls/CD and one DVD/CD, you can all order here (go to button "Vinyl/CDs" at the right) Models were unconsciously Lps and Artwork from the late 60igern and early 70 igern years, as well as German Kraut with long improvisations and spontaneous experiments. In this tradition the LPs are to be seen. It is no coincidence that the plates sounds predominant as from the year 1969, because musical models, old fenderamps, Hammond-organ amplified with marshal and 60`Ludwigdrums, had to lead (and should)to this sound.
(From Space Debris Website)
The download does not contain any complete albums. I'm not allowed to do that, but I want to give you an impression of what Space Debris is all about. From each album you see here you can listen to two songs. At their website you can order the CD's or Vinyl albums.
Here some more Duster 69; The self-titled album and a split 7" with Calamus from Sweden. This stuff is sended to me by Peter from Greece. I'm grateful for that.
Another band that is no more. Duster 69 from Germany has made some good Stoner Rock albums.
The first sign of life from Duster69 was back in 1999 the release of a split 7" which became single of the month at the leading US stoner rock label/mag METEOR CITY. In the same year the debut CD was released. Both outputs were sold out in a short period. The follow-up in 2000 simply was called "II". 2001 with Lucki a new singer and with Fio a second guitar player joined the band and at the end of 2002 Duster69 released a split 10" with the leading Swedish stoner rock band THE AWESOME MACHINE again on Daredevil Records. The same split is available since February 2003 on CD (with a Duster69 bonus track) at Fluid Groove/MGM in Australia and Bellaphon in Europe.
DUSTER 69 did a lot of shows in Germany and the Netherlands with bands like Sixty Watt Shaman (USA), Karma to burn (USA), Sunride (Finnland), Dozer (Schweden), Mammoth Volume (Schweden), WE (Norway), El Caco (Norway), and in 2002 they also got the opportunity to play at the most important European stoner rock festival,STONED FROM THE UNDERGROUND. A German tour followed in 2003 with Magnified Eye (Denmark) and Zerocharisma (Finland). In 2004 they did a tour with the Swedish bands Hell..n..Diesel and Sparzanza. In 2005 with Mother Misery (Sweden) and on some festivals with EKTOMORF (Hungary), THE BONES (Sweden) and SMOKE BLOW (Germany)
In 2004 the album RIDE THE SILVER HORSES has been recorded within 3 months at Freakstone Studio and got mastered at West West Side Music in New Jersey/USA by ALAN DOUCHES! It is available in Europe via Daredevil Records / Meisterbetrieb / Soulfood / Sony.
In October 2005 another split CD with the Swedish rockers from RICKSHAW got released via WUCK Records/Italy.
In February 2007 the fourth output, ANGEL KING, available through SLEASZY RIDER RECORDS (Greece) and DECIBELL RECORDS / RADAR MUSIC. It contains 9 songs and got mastered by Tobbe Bövik (The Awesome Machine, On Parole) in Gothenburg / Sweden.
John Hermansen, longtime friend and singer of MOTHER MISERY / STONEWALL NOISE ORCHESTRA / AWESOME MACHINE, wrote the lyrics for GOING INTO RED and did the vocals on that track too! It was released on a limited (666 copies) Vinyl single with ex-UNIDA members, now called HOUSE OF BROKEN PROMISES. GOING INTO RED got released as a CD EP too in August 2007, containing 2 versions of the title track and 2 unreleased live songs from 2003.
March 2008 the record label from Greece, SLEASZY RIDER RECORDS, released a 76 minute compilation with unreleased, rare, liverecording and new stuff from Duster 69. It contains guest vocals from the singers of DISENGAGE, CALAMUS, SPARZANZA and MOTHER MISERY. The artwork was done by Ralf from the legendary DAREDEVIL MAGAZINE.
After 9 years, 4 full-length CDs, 4 professional video-clips, 4 Splits and Vinyl Singles and a lot of compilation contributions (Rock Hard Magazine Germany, People Like you Stoner compilation to mention a few) the guys decided on the 13/08/2008 to end the chapter of Duster69.
We are still proud about the last years and we want to thank all the fans and supporters from 1999-2008.
We say THANK YOU and you can order our farewell compilation NOTHING LEFT (unreleased and rare stuff from 1999-2008, fat full-coloured artwork, linernotes, guests appearances from Calamus, Disengage, Sparzanza, Mother Misery, Stonewall Noise Orchestra) for only 6 Euros right now.
We 4 still rehearse and jam in our Studio, so far only to have fun, and maybe you will hear new music under a new name in the future. (From MySpace)
Here a nice split EP from The Awesome Machine (Sweden) and Duster 69 (Germany).
This split has been around for a while now, released by Daredevil Records in 2002 but it's still worth to lose some words about it. It contains six tracks, three from each group while the MCD contains one bonus cut from DUSTER 69. THE AWESOME MACHINE are the first band who delivers their typical downtuned tube-laden 70's influenced brand of heavy gasoline rock, and especially the third track "The Crailsheim Experience" is an excellent instrumental cut with psychedelic fringes and a fabulously different fade out. DUSTER 69 follow up with another heavy slab of bass-driven punkish buzz saw distortion that can slice your mind into tiny irregular pieces. Here I like to mention the slow "Laugh Is Suffocated" that builds up a bittersweet atmosphere with a bass-sound can only be described as monstrous. Due to the fact that this release is free from any crap cuts, you should give it a try! If you dig both bands, it's a must-have! At least, the 10" edtion comes up with a different cover-artwork!
