Vincebuz has released several recordings and this is the album La Dimension Desconocida from 2009.
This album contains eight fantastic tracks of experimental Heavy Rock with Stoner and Psychedelic influences.
Their heavy music is complemented with electronic effects, which certainly enriches their sound.
La Dimension Desconocida is a piece of awesomeness that for sure deserves to be heard. Enjoy!

It's All A Lie

Thanks to the band Câimbra for this contribution!
Câimbra is a fivesome from São Paulo, brazil. This band plays Sludge/Stoner Metal, where the emphasis very much is on Metal and less on Sludge and Stoner. Nevertheless, this band plays their music quite well. There are even some Hardcore influences present in their sound.
Their EP called É Tudo Uma Mentira (It's All A Lie) contains five tracks which sound all very decent. All of the lyrics are sung in Portugese, so I don't have any clue of what issues they're singing about.
I guess this is Câimbra's first release and it is really a good EP. Go check it out and support these guys! Enjoy!

"Câimbra (cramps) is a sensation that gets you from nowhere, an answer to intensive repetitive movements that is so ubearable it would make you want to die if it lasted just another minute.
We're talking about brazilian band Câimbra and their debut EP, "É Tudo Uma Mentira", that sounds just like the physical pain itself. A pain so cruel and relentless it's only compared to reality.
Composed by two brutal guitars, disturbed basslines, slightly diabolical drums and frightening vocals, Câimbra's sound won't leave you alone.
Here there is no peace or sense at all, only unstoppable search. What and why is it searched remains obliterated by the desperate urgency in this act."

Projeto Trator

These two EP's were shared with me by Thiago from the band Projeto Trator!
Projeto Trator is a duo from São Paulo, Brazil. They play very nice Stoner/Sludge with here and there some catchy tunes. These guys do an excellent job on these EP's! Their sound is very solid and heavy. The guitar sound of Paulo is awesome and Thiago is more than a good drummer. Beside handling the guitar, Paulo is also responsible for the great vocals.
There are a lot of great Brazilian Stoner bands out there and Projeto Trator is for sure one of them. Enjoy!

Two and a half years after the release of the EP ”A Bombástica Barafunda do Batizado” in 2007, the paulistan duo, Projeto Trator, releases another bomb, while finishing touches on their first full album, the EP “O Caldo Vai Azedar”.

Rubber riffs, truants, bad mood, gambling, black coffee, cool people, youngsters wrath and grindhouse movies, all of these come together to form this petard, with the guttural appearances of Clayton Freres (Umbilichaos) and Dom Orione (Superduo), also featuring the magisterial art of Fernando Chamarelli on the cover.

Four songs written by the band itself, produced on the studio Papiris (SP), couting on Caio Monfort e Mr. Batata for technical support. If you like that fat peace of greasy bacon on the last corner of the tavern window and young and noisy music, guarantee yours as soon as possible, before the broth sour completely.

Musical Black Hole

Macaco Bong is a trio from Brazil. This band plays Instrumental Rock that balances between Jazz, Post Rock and Math Rock. Their album Artista Igual Pedreiro is not just an ordinairy album. It is an awesome masterpiece! These musicians can rightly be called virtuosos. This is wonderful music that is sometimes quite complex. All the songs are brilliant compositions. I say this album is highly recommended! Enjoy!

Macaco Bong comes from the middle of South America. And them... their music comes from nowhere. There's a story that they heard Hendrix just 2 months ago, but isn't a forced issue, it's true, isn't a story. Macaco Bong is simply the most incredible brazilian band, their instrumental music defy any logic, any description... defy everything, we can call "musical black hole", but them is easy.

Great Brazilian Stoner Rock

Thanks again to João Paulo for this contribution! This guy has submitted The Black Drawing Chalks and MQN in the past.
Goldfish Memories is a Brazilian Hard Rock influenced Stoner Rock band. I've heard this band before on a Brazilian Stoner Rock compilation album. This is their EP from 2007 and it sounds pretty great! It reminds me a bit of the older Queens Of The Stone Age. There is an beneficent single added in the download file: The 2010 single called The Yellow Eyes Of The Owl. Enjoy!

Goldfish Memories is a rock band from Goiânia, Goiás – Brazil.
It was formed in 2006 by Pablo Villas Boas (lead singer), Renato Cunha (guitar and backing vocals), João Gabriel (bass in 2006 and 2007), Chicão Maia (bass), Danilo “Xidan” Melo (guitar e backing vocals) e Lucas Ribeiro (drums). The band already released a EP in 2007, recorded by Gustavo Vasquez and Luis Maldonalle from Rocklab Studio.
It was one of the most important bands from the city until November 2008 when the members took a break
In July 2010, Goldfish Memories were back on stage for one concert.

Red Queen

Thanks to Guilherme for sharing his band's demo!
Red Queen is a foursome from Brazil, that plays some nice Stoner Rock. This demo contains four great tracks. Red Queen sounds very original. Maybe because of the drums, I like that style of playing. The guitars sound very well and the singer has a good voice for this music. If you like Stoner Rock, then this demo will not disappoint you! Enjoy and support this band!

Red Queen is a band from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. This quartet are formed by the singer Pedro Araújo who listens Black Sabbath every day, Lucas who bring the stoner rock elements for the songs, Guilherme Scarpellini who loves blues and Hendrix style and the prodigy child Ciro Trevisan who plays with furious and madness. Influenced on 90's music and other hard bands of the 70's, the band record your first independent album on 2010. Now it is here, available for your ears.
Enjoy it!

Gods And Angels

Thanks again to João for sending his new EP!
Last april I've posted the demo by the Brazilian one man band Hell Reaper, formed by João Ricardo Pacheco. This is the EP Gods And Angels. With this EP João is more focused on Hard Rock and Heavy Metal and less on Stoner Rock and Grunge.
João did again a great job with the drumming machine. The Gods And Angels EP is pretty short, just as the songs. In my opinion these could have been more longer. In overall, Gods And Angels is a decent EP, but in the future, the songs could be slightly more developed. João and I are very interested in your opinion, so tell us what you think by leaving a comment. Enjoy!

Let's Go Retro!

Thanks to Anders for sending me another great album!
Yer from Brazil plays some awesome Retro Rock. There are a lot of influences here, according to their MySpace the following: Hendrix, Free, Stones, Beatles, Faces, Humble Pie, James Gang, Derek And The Dominos, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Winter, Dylan, Led Zep, Black Sabbath, BB - Allbert - Freddie King. In fact Yer combines 70's Hard Rock, 60's Rock and Blues together to a great sound. First Of Many Others is an album with some great variety, from Heavy to Psychedelic, from Blues to Mellow. If you like some Retro stuff, then this is your thing. Enjoy.

2008 has been kinda a “Sargent Peppers Lonely time” for YER. Since Yer..s debut Ep in 2005, they had played and grown as a band, going deeply inside their heart and soul, searching for breath moment off the stage, that kind of nirvana insight as keruac on the Mountains with his devils had and mad about. Sort of things that make us a better human been; seen, listen, feeling the movement of the world.
As a trio, the difficult to assimilate and express all the contemporary rock style make they go into their own studio, call it simple “Power of Soul” that meaning it self.
That was the last thing missing for Yer, free time rolling songs, tracking fields, mixing their own songs like their idols Eddie Kramer, Glyn and Andy johns bros, Tom Dowd and much more mates. Having a really good times, as the golden years when Traffic had composed songs in a small cottage in rural Berkshire or when The Band did the same, living in Woodstock.
Now Yer just become the own self intuitive feelings, putting they selves all together without any misunderstanding and block of the big bosses, and this is not what you going to find around, because Yer is what they are, simple a Power of Soul, making good, strange, wrong and maybe confuse songs, things they are shitin.. off for the bloody wankers, because this is pure. If it will be good, is your decision, because they are far away on the mountains of south Brazil….. cheers!!!

London..s air has ever been the “wicked place” for rock..n..roll, you know, and was there that Fabiano Koeche de Melo completed his mastership in rock, blues and psychedelic feelings. After two years walking around the Queen..s land , Fabiano has backed to south Brazil and in 2005 recruited his younger brother Mauricio (bass) and the old friend Guilherme Pitt (drums) to form a band. The most talented power trio from that area. Here you can appreciate the first Yer..s EP, called “Cheers Mate!” Melting amps in a full pelt performance with a old fashion style is quite rare to find out on the rock arena on this days, loud guitar bends with a les paul through a marshall amps, hard beats rhythm on drums and a big and strong bass lines that could make mrs Bruce and Bogert cry of jealously – yeah mate, that..s a real rule for Yer, just make a kind of Blues / Rock with the “old smell” without lose the 90..s energy.

One Man From Brazil.

Thanks to João for sending me his demo!
Hell Reaper is a one-man project by João Ricardo Pacheco. This guy combines on his demo Stoner Rock with Grunge, NWOBHM and Hard Rock. I must point out that João did a nice job with drumming machine. He programmed that device very nice. I love these rhythms. The only criticism is that with this device it is hard to end the songs properly, or it end's abruptly or it ands with a fade-out. So it seems that the songs are not really off! But don't let that bother you!
Hell Reaper is according MySpace influenced by the following: Motorhead, Tank, Monster Magnet, Kyuss, Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, Alice Cooper, King Diamond and Chrome Division. It's a lot of different styles, but the result is great. The voice of João reminds me a bit of Wino. The Instruments sounds great. So give this thing a listen. Enjoy!

Former guitarrist of brazilian metal bands since 1987 and current guitarrist in Metal band Mother Zombie, João Pacheco started writing and recording songs in his home studio with Rock and Roll, Grunge and Stoner Rock influences in 2008. Influenced by Motorhead, Tank, Monster Magnet, Kyuss, Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains and Chome Division, and with the great help of his Mother Zombie mate Rodrigo Cândido on bass, the project received the name of Hell Reaper and a 05 songs self-titled EP is avaliable.

Brazilian Stoner: BLACK DRAWING CHALKS

A big Thank You to Rafael Oliveira for dropping this one in my C-Box!
Black Drawing Chalks is a Brazilian Stoner Rock band. Their album Life Is A Big Holiday For Us is a real pleasure for my ears. Very easy listenable songs, great guitars and a very nice voice. So I can conclude that this is a great album.
I just can't find anything in English about this band and this album.

BOYS FROM BRAZIL

Flaming Moe - Soul Hunter (2008)

This is the first full-lenght album of Flaming Moe from Brazil and it is one of my favourites of this year!
Soul Hunter has a fresh sound. What I especialy like is the sound of the snare, a bit dry and sharp.
The album starts with Oh Yeah and brings me immediately in a good mood. The vocals reminds me sometimes to the singer of Cowboys And Aliens. The highlight of this album is the last song Explode My Life Again!

Band members:

Gui Klausner - Vocals
Mauricio Peruche - Guitar
Caio Varnier - Guitar
Vitor Rodrigues - Bass
Daniel Guerrini - Drums
