Into The Unknown

Forging A New Path is the second release by the band Mother Of God. This quartet from Smedjebacken, Sweden plays some excellent Grunge influenced Stoner Rock. These guys offer huge guitar riffs with a nice bass/drum combination. There are also great vocals to complete it all. This EP rocks! All of the four songs are great. They're nicely heavy.
I'm curious for the first release of this brilliant band. Enjoy!

Woke up at dawn and felt a strong belief in nature spirits, looked out. Black shape. I went to the nearby forest and the journey had begun. Without a direct way, I went through the woods and crossed mountains. Suddenly elated by light, I was under the raven's wings. Numb. Awakened by a thud and the silhouettes of the three. Embrace..
The circle was complete.

Westfalenwalze

From the German region
Nordrhein-Westfalen comes Mojo Jazz Mob. This five-piece band plays some awesome old school Stoner Rock. Their EP called Westfalenwalze is a nice piece of work. It contains five impressive songs and they're catchy as well. This band has it all! There are great vocals, excellent guitar riffs and a pleasantly grooving bass and drums. Their sound does also behold a little pinch of Psychedelics, but for the most part it is more straight forward Hard Rocking Stoner. A very good EP! Enjoy!

Oh man, the Mojo Jazz Mob take me wayyyyyyy back to 2000 when I was writing as a staffer for what was then Ultimate Metal.com. I had taken the liberty of changing someone else’s website to cover mostly Stoner Rock and Doom and then got fired for it… something I didn’t understand at the time, but now can fully appreciate the owner’s disdain for my freelancein’ ways. Mojo Jazz Mob had sent me their 2000 demo, which featured the powerhouse tunes “A.R.E. you A.I.R.?” and “Plasma Junge”. That ended up being the last review I would write for that particular zine.

It’s amazing to see these guys still around 10 years later, and it looks like they’ve been busy too with quite a discography. Nice to see my initial words didn’t torpedo any otherwise promising career.

The MJM are a German-based five piece heavy rock band, whose roots heavily tap into the burgeoning Stoner Rock movement of the late 90’s and early ‘00’s. They still have the Stoner Rock influence… at least one or two references to marijuana and a remarkably powerful guitar sound that is akin to a wind turbine in a hurricane. The songs have evolved, however, into these magnificent stripped-down powerhouses of melody, hooks and catchy choruses while still retaining the experimental charm of early ‘00’s Euro Stoner Rock. Out of the five songs, there isn’t a loser riff in any of ‘em. My favorite, “Samba”, features a cool, stoney, percussion driven mid-section between the riffs of howling melody. The riff on opener “Rapid Cycler” could reckon it’s own fault zone, and the twin guitar harmony n’ riff that opens “Chemical Pilot” is a nice take on the Dickinson/Smith school of songwriting, as applied to Stoner Rock.

Westfalenwalze is sonic ear candy. It’s heavy, it’s catchy, it’s creative and damn good. The Mojo Jazz Mob have successfully made the transition from “just another German Stoner Rock band” to something with a broader base of appeal. Personally, this is a very nice change of pace to a set of ears used to hearing slowly churning, dire music of a doomed planet. It’s like putting on Rubber Soul after several uninterrupted listenings of Stream From The Heavens. Puts you in a nice place of finger-snappin’ and toe-tappin’ just when you need it.

Sonic War

This contribution comes from Dublin, Ireland and it is the Demo by the band Wizards Of Firetop Mountain. This band plays some awesome uptempo Stoner Rock. This demo contains just two songs, but these to songs gives an impression of what Wizards Of Firetop Mountain is about. This band offers some great guitar riffs, a high-octane rhytm section and outstanding vocals. Needless to say that these two songs taste for more. Prepare for Sonic War. Enjoy!

With floods of fire raging from the rocky peaks, five wizards descended their sanctuary arriving many centuries later at the Foothills of the ancient Gaelic stronghold Dubh Linn to unleash a furious wrath of Wizardry and Riffs upon the scorched- sunken soil.

Bludd Sucker

Gorilla is a U.K. based band that plays some great Stoner Rock with a Rock 'n' Roll vibe. Rock Our Souls is their third album and it is released by Go Down Records.
The songs on this album are very good. Some tracks remind me a bit of Orange Sunshine, especially the song Bludd Sucker. The vocals on this track sound very much like Guy Tavares.
Nevertheless does Gorilla have a sound of their own, dispite the several influences that are present. Rock Our Souls is an excellent album with a great kick-ass spirit. Enjoy!

Rock Our Souls contains heavy doom, high energy aggressive, progressive and regressive songs, played in a timeless heavy rock style that Gorilla have made their own. Influences are clear to see, Budgie, Blue Cheer, Grand Funk Railroad, MC5, but played with a rough 'street punk' Motorhead, Pink Fairies, Crushed Butler attitude and style, and an authentic 'vintage' feel and sound. Capturing the essence of a classic era of '60s and '70s rock without sounding cliched is a ridiculously fucking hard, if not impossible self imposed task. But with Rock Our Souls, Gorilla have achieved exactly that. A brand new gem that sounds like a lost classic.

Capturing the essence of a classic era of 60's/70's rock without sounding cliched is a rediculously fuckin hard if not impossible self imposed task, but with ROS, Gorilla have achieved exactly that. A brand new gem that sounds like a lost classic.

THEY ALREADY HAVE PLAYED WITH: Fu Manchu, Ojm, Blue Cheer, Josiah, Brant Bjork & The Bros, Orange Goblin, The Heads, Colour haze, Hawkwind and many others.

Whiskey Rivers

Thanks to the guys from the band Crimson Stone for sending their promo EP!
Crimson Stone is a band from the Spanish isle Gran Canaria. This trio plays some Stoner driven Hard Rock music. Their promo EP called Rock Marshals contains four tracks of energetic Hard Rock music with a great sound. The songs are mostly up-tempo with a kick-ass attitude. Do not expect any drawn-out musical escapades or lengthy Psychedelic pieces. Crimson Stone is not such a band. They're more to-the-point and straight forward. Enjoy and support this band!

CRIMSON STONE is a rock band formed in 2005. Bob (Guitars & Vocals) recorded some songs at his home studio the same year and they became the first demo: SATAN IS IN LOVE WITH STONER ROCK. When Fred (Bass & Backing Vocals) listened to those tracks, he told Bob: “Hey dude, it’s time to rock”. A few months later, Sam (drums) joined the band. In 2008 they edited their first long play: “From Hell They Came” which had very good reviews by the media.

ROCK MASHALS is part of our new material. Here you can find what the band is; A PURE HARD ROCK MACHINE!

He does also a great job on the drums. The rhythms are grooving aswell lingering. Beside the guitar and drums, Judd knows how to handle the bass. The result of this all is an album with experimental and heavy songs with an awesome sound. These compositions are really great and very authentic.

Time Heals No Wounds

This heavy contribution comes from Columbus, Ohio, USA.
Traitors Return To Earth is a four piece band that plays Sludge/Stoner/Doom with Psychedelic tendencies. The purpose of this band is to play the heaviest music ever possible and to play it loud as hell! Well, Traitors Return To Earth did succeed on that mission. Their EP Smoke Screen is an example of sheer heaviness. The guitars sounds awesome, the drums and bass are pounding and droning. And there are these vocals, these screams make the sound of Traitors Return To Earth complete.
Smoke Screen is an awesome EP that will for sure be appreciated by those who adore bands like Sleep, High On Fire, Yob and Electric Wizard. Enjoy!

Traitors Return to Earth formed in July of 2010 for one reason and one
reason only, that is to play the heaviest music possible at the most
unreasonable volumes. The band is influenced heavily by Sleep,
Electric Wizard, High on Fire, YOB, Sons of Otis, Weedeater and many
more. In August of 2011 they released their EP titled “Smoke screen”.
The EP was recorded, mixed and mastered by Brian Samakis in March and
April of 2011. Since the completion of the EP Scott Simmons has
decided to depart from the band to peruse other interests.

There is no information in English about Stoner Train available, but you can check their YouTube page. Enjoy!

Portals Of Nothingness

Gas Giant was an awesome band from Copenhagen, Denmark. This Psychedelic Space/Stoner Rock band has released as a quartet two full-length albums called Pleasant Journey In Heavy Tunes (2000) and Mana (2003). Later they've released the Ego Planet Demo (2006) as a trio.
I take you back to 1998 when Gas Giant has recorded Portals Of Nothingness. This is some sort of a demo where the foundation is layed for their later work. It contains eight excellent tracks. The only song that was re-recorded is the track Super Sun Trigger for the album Pleasant Journey In Heavy Tunes. So here are seven pretty unknown Gas Giant songs and they are all great. I assure you that! Enjoy!

Gas Giant is a 3 piece rock band from Copenhagen, Denmark. Their sound blends influences from classic rock acts of the ’60s and ’70s like The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath with a sound and attitude found in modern bands such as Kyuss and Monster Magnet. Yet among contemporary bands in this scene, Gas Giant stands out clearly, producing mature songs with strong melodies, though without ever forgetting their heavy roots. Their songs evolve organically during epic rehearsal jam sessions, but balance sledgehammer riffs with plenty of catchy hooks. Gas Giant began life as Blind Man Buff, playing for several years under that name before choosing a new name to reflect their bigger, more spacious sound in 1998. The heavy and spaced out album Pleasant Journey in Heavy Tunes came out in 2000 and opened a lot of doors for the band, but it was later the same year that things got rolling. They hooked up with drummer Tommy Dan, who had been playing both hardcore/rap scene and various jam bands for a while. The new lineup was the perfect match for the band to move on to new musical levels. They now sounded like a four piece machine, ready to hit the road full tilt. In 2003 with the album Mana they set the order how to make heavy and spaced out stoner rock in the state of Denmark. The album was the best yet, and it defined Gas Giant once more as a big and spacious sound. Known as the Gas Giant sound Individually or together, the band members have been playing for more than 14 years in the Danish music scene.

Gabbatha

There is maybe a financial crisis going on in Greece, but that does not count for the Greek music scene! This band contribution is a proof of that fact!
The Bliss is a band from the nice harbour city Piraeus. This quartet plays mainly Grunge with several influences such as Stoner Rock and as they call it Japanese Classical Music.
The result is outstanding! With their album Gabbatha, The Bliss offers over one hour of awesome music. Gabbatha is a varied album with songs that are heavy and some songs that are more serene. The Bliss has really a sound of their own, but there are two bands that come to mind. That are Alice In Chains and Tool. In any case, The Bliss has released a truly beautiful album. Enjoy and support these guys!

We are "THE BLISS". A music trio from Piraeus Greece. We were formed in 2000 and we create music together ever since. About one year after we got together, we recorded our first demo, "BODYCODE" (2001) and after one more year our second demo recording, "ASSEMBLE"(2003). Our past influences stemmed from the early scene of Seattle, back in the 90's. Through the years, our inspiration started to become more complicated and our influences derived from various sounds and patterns that you find in greek traditional and other kinds of progressive rock bands. During that time we participated in two compilation cd's (IN THE JUNKYARD vol 2.,IN THE JUNKYARD vol 3.) released by Spinalonga records which is a non profit label organized by the bands, in Athens. All these years we've been performing all around our country, in small and big festivals, and sharing the stage with small and even bigger bands such as NIGHTSTALKER, EARTHBOUND, ECHO TATTOO, PLANET OF ZEUS, LUCKY FUNERAL, DEUS EX MACHINA and many more. Also we were the openning act for FAITH NO MORE reunion in Athens,in 2009. Meanwhile, we were experimenting and recording new material for our debut album "GABBATHA". In the mean time we are really interested in finding ways to promote our music by touring around the world and also seeking for an interesting deal with a record label.

The Cruelty Of Mankind

This EP was sent to me by Witch Hunter Records.
Iron Witch is a five piece band from Liverpool, U.K. that plays some awesome Sludge/Doom Metal in the vein of Eyehategod. The five track EP called Single Malt is a perfect example of utter brutal heaviness.
Iron Witch is according to their MySpace inspired by the following bands and artists: Black Sabbath, Eyehategod, Sleep, Weedeater, Electric Wizard, Noothgrush, Graves At Sea, Goatsnake, Church Of Misery, Saint Vitus, Witchcraft, Burning Witch and Sunn O))).
This list clearly indicates the idea of what Iron Witch is about. Needless to say that this is a highly recommended EP from an excellent new band. Enjoy!

The foundation of this rotten sludge, is the riff worship of bands like Black Sabbath, Sleep and St Vitus, with the influence of Black Flag sitting underneath, to give that nihilistic air, and fog of feedback, that permeates most of Eyehategod’s output. This is the soundtrack to alligator wrestling in a Louisiana swamp, cheered on by a mob of whisky-fuelled reprobates.

Recorded with John Stephens at Chuckalumba, this EP comes in a hand crafted 4-panel gatefold sleeve on black recycled card, screened by VinoSangre, with vinyl-style black CD and a poster insert, and is limited to 150 copies.

Big Cats On The Prowl

The next band contribution comes from the beautiful capitol of Greece, Athens.
Super Puma is an Alternative Experimental Rock 'n' Roll band with a pretty unique sound. The characteristics of this four-piece band are the great guitar riffs with nice drum rhythms and the awesome vocals. The sound of Super Puma contains also some elements of Punk and Blues.
Super Puma is not an everyday band, so I suggest you listen to this album and maybe you will appreciate Big Cats On The Prowl. Enjoy!

SuperPuma formed in the summer of 2007 and they play loud rock 'n' roll with experimental / blues and alternative / punk elements.
They have appeared occasionally in various Athenian venues.
SuperPuma are: Lefty (vocals), Danny (guitar), Billy (bass) and Nodes (drums).
In 2009 they recorded a four track demo in mini-cdr format and DIY feel entitled «Speed The Plow».
They just completed their first full length album titled «Big Cats on the Prowl». It contains 9 new tracks and the first 500 copies come with a 36 page comic booklet.

Spaced Out In Leiden.

Are you familiar with Øresund Space Collective? Do you like Totally Improvised Space Rock? Then you have to listen to this one. It is the recording of their show from june 21 at Sub071, Leiden, Holland.
This recording gives you an impression of a nice evening that I had in that small venue together with about twentyfive others. The vibe was really great that night and it was also shown by the members of Øresund Space Collective. The jams were excellent and it was great to see the gently bobbling heads of the musicians while joints were passed on the stage (and among the audience!).
I'm glad that Øresund Space Collective have recorded their shows, so I can re-experience this one over and over again. It's a great souvenir! Enjoy!

The Øresund (ur-re-suun) Space Collective is a one of a kind musical project. We are a collective of musicians from Denmark and Sweden that play entirely improvised rock music. No songs, no pre-constructed rhythms, just pure musical energy generated from the heart of the musicians. Name another band that sets up on the stage and just plays for 2, 3 or even 5 hr concerts for the fans?? I guess you can’t? Musically the band is inspired by a large number of bands on the space rock scene like Hawkwind, Ozric Tentacles, Hidria Spacefolk but equally so by 70’s bands like GONG, Sly and the Family stone, and Miles Davis.

The band has been creating music since 2005, when they played their first live concert. Before this the collective was mainly the musicians from Mantric Muse (Denmark) and Bland Bladen (Sweden), joining together with Dr. Space for free form jam sessions in the rehearsal room. Since this time the collective has grown and incorporates excellent musicians from a number of groups including the Carpet Knights (Sweden), Siena Root (Sweden), Causa Sui (Denmark), The Univerzals (Denmark), and several other groups. Most recently, the band played live and in the studio with Danish guitar legend, Claus Bøhling from Hurdy Gurdy and Secret Oyster fame.

The has played and headlined many festivals in Europe including Space Rock Odyssey (Sweden), Slotsskogen goes Progressive (Sweden), Kildemose Festival (Denmark), Space Force One (Finland), Psychedelic Network (Germany), Roadburn Festival (Holland), Occultrance Festival (Belgium) and will in Sept go and play one of the first psychedelic rock music festivals in India!

The band has released 10 albums. since the debut in Jan 2006 on the Transubstans Label out of Sweden. In 2011 the band has or will release 4 records, including a double vinyl only release from their appearance at the legendary, Roadburn Festival in Holland.

G.O.R.M.A.

3 Mexicans From Gorma are not exactly from Mexico. This is a band from Verona, Italy. This trio plays Stoner Rock with Southern, Hard Rock and Blues influences. This Trio has released their debut album G.O.R.M.A. at Go Down Records.
This album is a bit of a strange one; Among the great Stoner tracks there are also some strange intros and intermezzos. But nevertheless it is a fine album, because the songs are really great.
According to their Facebook page, 3 Mexicans From Gorma is inspired by the following bands: Foo Fighters, Kyuss, Queens Of The Stone Age, Orange Goblin and Fu Manchu.
Beside the Stoner Rock, there are also some Mexican acoustic elements present in their sound. All with all a pretty decent album. Enjoy!

The Three Mexicans from Gorma formed in 2007; every member comes from a different musical experiences.
The new trio south stoner / space rock was created to revive the nostalgics of the 80s and 90s robust, smoked, heavy and hungry sound, remembering the glorious American stoner rock founders.
Their 12 tracks, enclose a comic concept book of pure invention, which will take you to a place forgotten by God, a place forgotten by all, the city of Gorma (acronym of the members of the band).
Gorma is a ghost town, strange and decadent, lost in the Mexican desert, a town reflecting the destruction, greed, madness, cruelty, evil and envy, all wickedness still present in today's world.
The protagonist, called DESOLETED MAN (an old and dirty loner cowboy), after leaving and have forgotten the madness of everyday’slife around him, escapes, and reaches the city Gorma, just by chance, riding his old horse Jekyll.
Closer and closer to evil-land, the old cowboy is captured by a series of events that trap him inside Gorma for eternity ... the significance of the city is nothing but the door to damnation. THE OLD COWBOY MAN, will have to fight against the Gorma’s evil, now surrounded by blood and delirium, trying to earn eternal peace ...
The Mexicans will take on stages a Mexican show and a story made up by a soundtrack inspired by the powerful and massive best pages of Queen Of The Stone Age and Kyuss, using the best experience gathered in previous projects (Spingigonzales - rock, Goro - deathmetal) not only playing, but telling a story like in the best take of Rodriguez.
In October they released their very first self-produced album, edited by GO DOWN RECORDS of Treviso.

End Of The Summers

Almost two years ago I've posted the album The Company Meeting by the band The Company Corvette. Now they have recently sent me their new album called End Of The Summers.
The trio from Philadelphia presents again some outstanding Stoner Rock with this album. The characteristics of The Company Corvette are the great guitar riffs combined with the strong sounding bass and drums. I must not forget to mention the great vocals that makes the entire sound complete.
End Of The Summers contains eight superb songs, whereby the song Regular Skip reminds me of the song Trancers by the Dutch band Twin Earth. Enjoy!

This three-piece has been rocking out and about the Philadelphia area for over 4 years, delivering heavy rock that is blues-based, with a healthy dose of psychedelia and a metallic punch. The Company Corvette brings high-energy, riff-driven grooves mixed with laid back vocals and blistering, wah-wah drenched guitar action. With their second album being ready for release this Spring, the band is looking to get out there and you should check 'em out.

Imperfection Is The New Perfection

Last march I've posted here the self-titled album by the french band with the bizar name BitterChupChupWeLose. Now they have returned with the, how surprising, self-titled 10" EP. With this EP BitterChupChupWeLose proves again how good they are. This EP contains five great Stoner/Noise tracks. The songs are generally more up-tempo and straight forward. The BitterChupChupWeLose 10" certainly deserves a listen.
The French Stoner scene is pretty booming and BitterChupChupWeLose is an example of that.
This EP is now available as free download. At september 8 will the physic 10" be released. Enjoy!

Carpathian Woodoo

This band contribution is some good news for the ones who did enjoy the demo by the Hungarian band Urania that I've posted last december: Urania is back!
They have released a new EP Called Carpathian Woodoo. This EP is full with excellent Instrumental Space /Stoner tracks. Carpathian Woodoo is a continuation of what Urania has done on their demo. There is one surprising thing: Some tracks are influenced with Native American music (Totem). Further is nothing changed. The guitar still sounds awesome. Just as the rhythm section does. A surprisingly great EP! Enjoy and support this band!

URANIA was founded in 2005 by Andy66 - bass, Robi - drum, Aiwass - guitar. Later Doki joined as vox. In 2010 spring the line-up was: Doki, Aiwass, Feri - drum, Pisti - bass, and they were jamming through that summer and buried URANIA in smoke and booze, finally. On winter in that year, Aiwass was left alone and he recorded approximately 20 songs at his home. Then he send an 8 tracking demo to the hungarian stoner blog. The blog decide to hype this band and help it to get some reputation, furthermore Rico RokkaRolla (ex-Born33 guitarist, member of stoner rock blog team, Hungary) elected to help this music present on stage, live. Marton Zoli (Joystix, Acoustix, Holy Shit!) joined them as bass. So, they looking for an awesome drummer (and gigs, of course), or they have to use 'Roland' on concert. If the rehearsals go ok, there would be a gig with the greece space rock band, Brotherhood Of Sleep, in Budapest.

THC

The next band contribution is The Heavy Co. a.k.a. The Heavy Company or shortened to THC. This trio from Lafayette and Indianapolis, USA plays some impressive Psychedelic Stoner Rock. Their free download debut EP The Heavy (Please Tune In…) is an outstanding piece of music.
THC (I love this abbreviation) is according to their Facebook page influenced by the following bands: Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Fu Manchu, Nebula and Clutch.
Beside the Stoner sound are also the vibes of the seventies clearly present in their music. All the six songs on this EP are high quality compositions. Enjoy!

Formed in the Fall of 2008, the Heavy Co. has been steadily working on writing, recording, and performing distinctive psychedelic rock music that combines the vibe of classic rock, the acid flashbacks of Haight-Ashbury and Swinging London, and the improvisational driven live experience of the jam band scene. The band was formed by members of Indiana’s burgeoning doom/stoner rock scene seeking a subtler approach to getting spaced and fuzzy, musically speaking.

Greatly influenced by the giants of classic rock such as Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin, the Heavy Co. also gives credit to modern underground rockers Fu Manchu, Nebula, and Clutch for helping form the power trio’s unique approach to blues-driven, grooved-out psychedelia.

THC's debut EP "The Heavy (Please Tune In...) was release on March 8 via download on theheavycompany.bandcamp.com and made it to #1 on the Psychedelic and Jamband tags and #3 on the Stoner Rock tag. THC is currently gearing up for their second EP titled "Midwest Electric" which should be out Spring 2012. The Heavy Company's guitarist and singer Ian Gerber has described the new material as "...more Crazy Horse and less CSN&Y." Please tune in…

Visual Violence

Do you remember that Argentinian Sludge/Stoner/Doom duo Cabrocordero? I've posted their debut EP about a year ago here.
Now this bass and drum sensation is back with their full-length album called Namastie Qoh. This album is a continuation of what they have done on the EP Ofrenda Inicial. The result is an awesome album that is full of heavy tunes. The bass sounds like a mean roaring beast, the drummer plays some great rhythms and the vocals are an impressive topping on the instrumental part. The album Namastie Qoh is all with all an excellent return of the band Cabrocordero! Enjoy!

Recorded at the Abasto, with the production of Topo Armetta (Dragonauta, 8Hands for Kali, Los Natas) and released under the independent label the band of The Ancient Records.
The 9 tracks goes through to ultra speed a blend of alternative and classics metals translated from a bass & drums, with spiritual, transcendental and realistic lyrics.

An Awesome Collaboration

Here is the second split by the bands Unearthly Trance and Suma and it is released by Throne Records. This is collaboration in the purest form. Side A is the track Sleepwalking Through A Maze by Unearthly Trance, but in fact it is the musicians of Suma with the singer of Unearthly Trance.
With the tracks Six Months Of Treatment and Victim No. 581 on side B it is vice versa; the musicians of Unearthly Trance with the singer of Suma.
The result of this collaboration is awesome! These three tracks are a fine display of outstanding and heavy Stoner/Sludge/Doom. When you order this piece of vinyl, then you also get the CD as bonus! Enjoy!

"Spawned loosely from the mysterious lore of the CIA black operation known as Project MKULTRA, Unearthly Trance and Suma tracks on Collaboration features the other band's vocalist along with some additional noise. "Sleepwalking Through a Maze" consists of music that Suma recorded in Malmo and sent to Ryan Lipynsky in Brooklyn where he recorded his vocals. Unearthly Trance tracked their music for "Victim No. 581" in NYC which was then sent to Jovan where he promptly returned the track back with his vocals and additional sounds. The other track "Month of Treatment" is a harsh noise track that each Unearthly Trance member recorded a "layer" and then sent to Suma. Jovan tracked his voice and more noise was conjured up in Sweden. Unearthly Trance members Jay Newman and Ryan mixed and mastered the songs respectively."

Kings Of Beer

Alright, I'm back again after three weeks of absence. There were a lot of band submissions in these weeks.
One of these bands is VAVA! from Epernay, France. This four piece band offers you their first EP. VAVA! plays Stoner Rock with Garage and Psychedelic influences. Their sound is pretty cool, especially the vocals stand out. This guy sounds really special. With the instrumental part is everything alright. The guitar players do a nice job with these riffs and the drums and bass are decent as well. Thereby presents VAVA! an original sound.
VAVA! is according to their Facebook page inspired by the following bands: Monster Magnet, Kyuss, Black Sabbath, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Sword and Weedeater. This gives you a small idea of what VAVA! is about. For a first release is this EP a very good representation! I look forward to other releases of this great band. Enjoy!
